Figured it out! Low side readings are suction when the compressor is running - so 75 was dropping to 20, the low side limit switch stopped the compressor, and it when back to 75 - approximately static pressure in an a/c system. solution was to jumper the low side switch to keep the compressor running - low side reading of about 20psi -

Low high side pressure r22

If you look at the low side gauge on an R22 manifold set you have the pressure and the corresponding evaporating temperature. The ideal freezer internal temperature s -18C but the evaporator during cooling must be much colder than this, usually ar...hi, anyone familar with R410A. why do i have high pressure at my low pressure port on my a/c ? i havent had cold air for quite some time and decided to try and fix. I thought i was just low on refrigerant and hooked up a recharge kit and gauge read 65psi so i did not fill and unhooked everything.Excess high-side pressure can result from too much refrigerant in the system, a system restriction, air in the lines, or not enough airflow across the condenser (in front of the radiator). A too-low high-side pressure can mean refrigerant level is low or the compressor is malfunctioning.

Low head pressure may occur simulataneously with high pressure on the suction side of an air conditioner, heat pump or refrigeration system compressor system. If the system is continuing to cool it may be doing so at reduced capacity, observed as a loss of up to ten degrees of temperature drop across the coil. In order for the A/C to work, there has to be a high pressure side where, after the charge is compressed is run through the condenser and is cooled (while still at pressure). Then the low side, where the cooled refrigerant has a chance to expand and thermodynamics has a chance to do it's thing and this cools the inside of your car. What type of high side to cold side regulation device does this system have; is is a capillary tube, or thermal expansion valve system? From your data I would assume capillary tube control, you need to look up the temp. vs pressure tables for R22. You want to shoot for, at minimum thermal load, and saturated suction pressure that is near orTHE HIGH SIDE NEEDLE SHOULD POINT TO A TEMPERATURE BETWEEN 105 AND 115 (in the green ring of numbers) AND THE PRESSURE IS READ ON THE BLACK RING OF NUMBERS FOR PRESSURE. The suction pressure depends by the TEMPERATURE of the boiling (evaporating) refrigerant (R-22) in the evaporator (indoor or cooling coil).

Mar 08, 2010 · The needle valve may also get stuck partially open from grit or a sludging condition in the oil. This will cause high pressure to go directly into the compressor’s crankcase causing high low-side pressures and low high-side pressures. The oil return line on an oil separator should be just above the ambient (surrounding) temperature. Buy Blue Low-Side Replacement Gauge R-410A/R-22 ... R410A R134A R22 Refrigerant Low & High Pressure Gauge PSI KPA ... Low and High Pressure Gauges 11.2mm for Air ... The low-pressure side, when connected to the gauge, should read less than 100 psi. PSI is the common measurement for pressure used in terms of pounds per square inch. By the time the refrigerant reaches these lines it has lost most of its heat and has collapsed into a liquid state, taking up less volume.Refrigerant pressure readings measured at the air conditioning compressor/condenser unit and which are found to be too low on the high pressure side (compressor output) or on the low pressure side (compressor input or suction line) can indicate a problem with the compressor's ability to develop normal operating pressure ranges and thus will ...

High pressure side is high, low pressure side (suction pressure) is low: Discharge pressure is very high after turning on the A/C switch, and bubbles are seen in the sight glass (if charge valve is located after R/D, discharge pressure is unknown)-----Choking between compressor and R/D: Remove clogged materials, or replace condenserLeak check was neg. and the mechanic added the freon in the low pressure valve with engine running, can right side up, and A/C on max and running(he even gave it a little gas to get the process to go faster).Apr 14, 2019 · R-22 has become more common in refrigeration so that would depend upon the desired temperature. High side will generally be in a ballpark of 250–280 roughly but that depends on ambient temperatures, little lower on water cooled condenser. hi, anyone familar with R410A. For air conditioning system, R22 pressure in discharge is250psi and suction in67psi. But for R410A pressure will be more higher that R22. So what pressure is normal for air-conditioning systems. Besides that normal R22 compressor can replace with R410A Jan 13, 2018 · R134a Pressure Gauge Chart This chart details how ambient temperature correlates with the system refrigerant charge pressure, and how it affects high and low side psi readings. It can be used for recharging refrigerant, or to diagnose an a/c system based on pressure readings from your gauges. This is a far reach for an answer. An R-12 system would have had 1/4 flare fittings. The R-134 adapters will fit on either high or low side 1/4 flare fittings. The R-134 adapter for the low side suction line should be connected to the left hand side blue gage. The R-134 adapter for the high pressure side should be connected to the right hand ...

low side pressure= 66 psi high side pressure=170 psi suction line temp is 72F saturated suction temp for R22 @ 66 psi is 38F 72 - 38 = 34F superheat Add refrigerant slowly until the superheat is about 15F, then take a new full set of temp and pressure readings. Mar 08, 2010 · The needle valve may also get stuck partially open from grit or a sludging condition in the oil. The Discharge Pressure is the result of compressing the low side vapours. So lower suction pressure tends to lower the high side pressure. However there are other forces also affecting the high side pressure. This is especially true if the system has some type of head pressure control.Checking the pressures, both high side and low side were low. The thing hadn't been serviced in about 12 years, so I added R-22. This was a 5-ton unit. Two pounds of R-22 later, the low side came up to normal but the high side was still low (S.P. equal to outdoor ambient).

I explain ...Before recharging, I googled 'r134a pressure chart', and found the following: At the time, it was 82F in my garage, so I was expecting to end up in the middle of the range (both low- and high-pressure) for the 80F row.... 45psi for low, and about 190psi for the high side.I hooked them up, cranked the AC on and found that both the high and low pressure side were reading about 130 psi. I am trying to figure out why they would both be the same. I am thinking somewhere between the high and low sides inside the compressor is plugged or exploded.

If the system is continuing to cool it may be doing so at reduced capacity, observed as a loss of up to ten degrees of temperature drop across the coil. A service call is made on an air-to-air heat pump system during the winter months. The technician arrives on the job and notices that the discharge pressure is low and the suction pressure is high.
